This is our cockpit shower, in fact our only shower.
Wanda invented it early in the trip
and it has worked very well. You take one hula-hoop and one shower curtain and ....
At anchor in St. Augustine waiting for the Forth of July fireworks to start.
This is the view from the boat, looking to shore and the Castillo San Marco (I think).
We were quite close to the fireworks barge, in fact they made us haul anchor and move
at one point. Here's one picture...
And one last one.
A day later and we have evidence that you should stay in the channel when in the waterway :-)
And remember to look out for the big boats :-)
This guy (and a few of his friends) passed us on the twenty-mile run up the river to Jacksonville.
Well, we left the boat in Jacksonville and got ready to drive home. We were quite busy and it was very hot and those are my excuses for not taking any pictures there.
However, during the way back to Canada we stopped at a few places.
One of them was the Boone Hall Plantation near Charleston, SC. Some of you will recognize it as one of the settings
for the TV mini-series 'North and South'.
And a shot looking the other way.
Almost home, and somewhere in New York State, Wanda's eyes lit up at the sight of a Tim Horton's coffee shop.
During the trip if you asked her what she missed most from home, this was the first thing she mentioned.
Back at home, and so ends our little adventure. We will go back to Florida next winter and carry on - no definite itinerary at this time....
See ya !!
